Andrew Fraerman has represented clients in both state and federal courts, including adversary proceedings in bankruptcy court, in a variety of commercial disputes including product liability and class action litigation. Prior to joining The Bernstein Law Firm, Andrew was an Associate at DLA Piper LLP in its Litigation group. Andrew began his career serving as a Special Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of Chicago in the Federal Civil Rights Litigation division. In that role, he assisted in three civil jury trials in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, defending several Chicago police officers accused of misconduct. Two of those trials resulted in jury verdicts of not liable for all defendants.
Andrew graduated from Washington University in St. Louis in 2004 and from Northwestern University Law School in 2010. Andrew currently serves as Co-Chair of Illinois Legal Aid Online’s Young Professionals Group and is a member of the Board of Directors for the Juvenile Justice Initiative. He also serves on the Executive Committee for Jewish United Fund’s Young Lawyer’s Group.
